Ruby Mountain Riding for the Handicapped is looking for volunteers to help with our program this summer. RMRH needs people who can come to the Horse Palace once a week (Mondays) and walk beside riders or lead horses for 1 to 3 hours. Volunteers do not need to have previous experience with horses (although that is a bonus) but do need to be comfortable around them. At this time we are able to serve 17 clients (providing we get enough volunteers) and have a waiting list of people wanting to get in. We are also looking for volunteers with horses we can use on Mondays. The horses must be well trained, with a quiet, compliant disposition. Anyone interested in being a part of this wonderful program can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org (please put RMRH in the subject) or call/text 775-777-5877. Email works better for me as I then have a “written” record of our communication, and I use email for most of our scheduling.
