Las Vegas homeless man saves 2 children from house fire

A homeless man in Las Vegas is being hailed as a hero after he ran into a burning apartment to rescue two small children from the blaze. According to Las Vegas Fire and Rescue officials, Anival Angulo, 36, was walking by the apartment at around 11:30 a.m. when he smelled smoke and heard the children, a 10-month-old and 3-year-old, crying. Angulo jumped a locked gate and approached the door and saw a little girl. He then broke through a steel security door to get inside, police said. The toddlers were taken to a nearby hospital where they were treated for smoke inhalation, authorities said, noting in a tweet that the children are okay.
